  Because of the limitations of the Chrome system, there is currently no external optical drive that is compatible with Chrome OS. Sorry!

We needed an external CD reader due to our laptops not having a drive built into them. We received a photo CD and wanted to view the pictures. When researching possible DVD-RW external drives, the Roofull DVD-RW 3.0 received high reviews. The reviews were correct. The plug-and-play feature worked smoothly. In matter of minutes, we were viewing the photos. I would highly recommend anyone looking to purchase an external drive to purchase this DVD-RW external drive. Having the cord tucked into the bottom of the drive is a definite plus.

Works great with Win10. Locks up the operating system with Raspbian on the RaspberryPI 4b (latest OS on the nearly the latest RaspberryPi) Other USB I/O devices misfunction (keyboards/mice). Tried with and without USB3 Anker 7+3Powered port hub. Certified works with Linux I think, but Raspbian, based on Debian is a no go. 🙁

We recommend you buy the external CD/DVD drive with a power supply cable. Ultrathin laptops may not supply enough power for an external CD/DVD drive, the extra power supply can ensure enough power.

This thing did nothing but frustrate me; it did not work on my iMac or my PC. When I tried it in my PC, I got an error message, and on the Mac, it did nothing but spin with the light blinking on and off before stopping. This must be a “lemon” version. I need to get a refund!

i just bought this product and it is really so good and easy to use , easy portable as well as coming with nice good looking bag which can help me to carry along when travel .
the best thing that i like that does not need any driver to play .. so i can use all my DVDs with no problem to worry .
